I am currently running the 30 day trial of Acrobat Pro XI. I have installed the latest update but I am having problems with images. I have a .pdf document with 260 pages and over 100 images. The document was created in Word and saved as a .pdf file. This has been used to create an e-book but I now want to create a version for print. This means I need to replace the 96 dpi
images in the e-book version with 300 dpi images for print.
With the first few images in the book there is no problem - I use the "replace image" function to replace the image. However, from the fifth image on, this doesn't work. Whether I use "replace image" or if I delete the original image and replace manually, the result is the same. The new image either is not visible at all or shows up as a corrupted, banded, grey image. I also get an "insufficient data for image" error message. I have checked "Show large images" in preferences and I have tried changing the level of zoom and changing the file to an optimised .pdf as advised elsewhere on this forum, but none make any difference. The image I'm trying to insert is 1255 x 904, 300dpi, 1.02MB in size and in .jpg format. I'm running Windows 7, 64bit on a laptop with an Intel i3 2.2GHz processor and 6GB of RAM.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks
