Don't be afraid of code. If you do something stupid (as we all do), hit Ctrl+Z or Cmd+Z to undo mistakes. I often wish there was an undo button for the real world, too.
Spend some time reviewing HTML and CSS basics. This will demystify most of the code errors you encounter and give you more confidence to experiment with code on your own.
