Re: OFFLINE INSTALLATION / ACTIVATION

Thank You, Dear John, so very much, for all of your kind help! "Adobe Premiere Elements 13" did finally generate a "Request code", and so therefore I was able to successfully activate that program. However, "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5" has not yet provided the same. It seems the developers at Adobe would understand the need for uniformity in matters concerning installation/registration/activation, in order to simplify their copyright-protection process for the good people who are paying customers. Honestly, I don't understand why someone who purchases a boxed program is prohibited from simply entering the serial number onto their offline computer at the time of installation, thereby avoiding all of this unnecessary "back-and-forth" between my offline computer and my online one. At the very least, one should be able to complete Adobe's tedious process at the time of installation, and be done with it, and not have "the sword of Damocles" overhead. Adobe should understand that there are people like me, who simply want to use the product offline and not be made to feel like a criminal after having paid good money . . . unless, Adobe has skillfully manipulated their customers into providing tech support via chat/forum(?). Hmmm, this puts a new spin on the term "customer service". Perhaps this is the real reason why Adobe forces paying customers to register online(?). However, the ulterior motives Adobe has for making the registration process so very difficult, does not diminish the unselfish deeds provided by good people like you, John. Once again, Thank You, kind Sir, for helping those of us in need ~ Beverley.
