Remember that the touch interface is a reduced interface - it doesn't contain all tools and menu commands. So it's great for painting with some of the tools, but if you need others, you need to work in the "normal" interface. Which is OK to use as well btw.
The stylus might need some improvement though, it often just isn't recognized and then you have to drag it multiple times until it draws. Could be that it's just mine, but actually it happened with two of them.
Also: if you tend to work with large files, you need to get a powerful Surface.
