Date won't show as dd,mm,yyyy only mm,dd,yyyy but im not in USA.

Elements downloaded from Amazon to Australia will not allow me to have day, month, year (dd,mm,yyyy) only the USA  month, day, year (mm, dd, yyyy). Hope someone can help me sort it to show up the Aussie way.
