I totally disagree with you, B.R. Photography.
There is absolutely NO VALUE in having hordes of clueless newbies marking answers as correct.
"Fun little 'bonus'" my foot. You wanted your points out of vanity, to claim credentials you may otherwise lack. Adobe wants more answers marked as correct to boost the pathewtic standing and reputation of these degenerated forums.
The golden years of these forums are a distant memory, but they were GREAT back then. Those were the years when there was no ridiculous, lame, pathetic "point systems", and the platform-specific Photoshop forums were a veritable hotbed of activity, a rich source of knowledge and inspiration.
The turnaround points for this shameful deterioration were (a) the Macromedia merger ten years ago, and later (b) the merging of the separate Mac and Win Photoshop forums into the promiscuous, clumsy, boring, platform agnostic forum with the absurd "point system".
You werent remotely around then, so you'd have no idea.
Truly great Photoshop experts and genuine artists left in droves.
What's the point of awarding points to a post that parrots what can readily be foubnd in the Photoshop most basic Help files, such as your very recent "Ctrl/Cmd+0 will fit to screen and center the image for you." post? (
