Are your Windows and Windows 7 Professional both 64 bit computer operating systems? I am assuming that
the Windows is Windows Home Premium 64 bit Please check the following for what is written to be the differences
between those 2
Windows 7 Home Premium vs. Windows 7 Professional - PC World Australia
For me, the difference was Windows 7 Professional 64 bit came with the free Windows XP Mode which allowed me
to install older program that had difficulties installing on 7. Once the older programs were installed in the virtual Windows
XP SP3 32 bit computer then they could be opened in Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 bit. The XP Mode could not be used
with Windows Home Premium.
I think that you would have to look at the level of the computer resources of each computer.
