I agree with Osgood here for the most part.

 

Generally speaking a mobile user, especially on a phone, isn't going to be interested in a large table of information. Mobile users tend to want "the gist of it" in easy to consume bites that they can quickly download and use immediately.

 

If you really need to present the table to mobile browsers, it may be easier to turn it into a PDF, use a standard text link to it, and allow them to download it if they want it.

 

I find that PDFs are generally easier to navigate on phones, since they typically act like a large scrollable image. They end up much easier to implement than attempting to get a table to fit properly within a phone's browser window, let alone be natural for the user to scroll and interact with.
