Re: Unable to Migrate Photoshop from old laptop to new

First ruleNever, ever "migrate", "transfer", "copy" or "move" an Adobe application from one computer to another one.  Don't believe what Apple says.

That'a a guarantee for never-ending grief.

Always install from scratch, from the original media.

From what you describe, you have been using pirated software all this time.  What you recount there does not make sense at all.

It looks like the version you have is Photoshop CS4?
CS4 is obsolete software, even if it was legitimate—which yours appears not to be.  Both CS4 and CS5 are no longer supported by Adobe, in any event.

Adobe does sell Photoshop CS6 with a perpetual version.  $700 for the standard version and $1,000 for the Extended version.

You can also subscribe to the Photography plan, which gives you the current Photoshop plus Lightroom, all for $10 per month, though you never get to own the software.

Creative Cloud subscriptions are $20 a month per application.

Please note that you are not addressing Adobe here.  We're mostly users like you.
