Simply assign a common keyword like 'tobedeleted' while you are browsing.
Theoretically, you could then select all the files with that keyword and delete all of them with a single delete and confirm command...
But in practice, you can't delete thousands of files at the same time without getting a message error after a long time.
My advice would be to delete small batches (50 to 100) files at the same time.
