Actually AE render engine is different than Premiere's MPE acceleration so the comparison is completely different between them. AMD with greater cores will function better but not equal to or greather in comparison with Intel in AE since the processing is all CPU based. However that same comparison will be drastically different with Premiere because of the GPU acceleration which we have tested and have shown. If your just using the system for AE you can run AMD ok although it's no where near what a 5960X Intel chip can do with DDR4. It's just a budget option is all. However Premiere performance would be very poor comparatively so I would avoid the AMD systems then.
