Flash enabled, but chrome says it's not

Hi--

I have Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

Browser is latest Chrome 40.0.2214.94 m (updated today).

I am trying to see the intro information for my newly purchased Illustrator.

I get a screen that says I need to update my flash player, then I see that I need to enable flash player in chrome.

I went to the about:plugins on chrome, and I found that the flashplayer was already enabled, so I click "always" to be extra sure, closed the browser and tried again.

Again, when I go to watch the video for Illustrator, I get the same error message: not enabled.

Then I thought I'd try to uninstall and reinstall Flash.  I downloaded the uninstaller, but it won't run because it says Chrome is still running, even though I have no open windows and no running processes when I go to Task Manager.

Anyone have any advice about how I can proceed?  5 minutes to buy Illustrator, 55 minutes to try to see the welcome video!!!

Thanks in advance.
