I have just connected an Epson R3000 to my Mac 10.6.8 and I can not print from photoshop unless I print from PREVIEW- I contacted Epson and they suggested I contact adobe b/c it seems that its an app issue-can you help?

I have just connected an Epson R3000 to my Mac 10.6.8 and I can't seem to print-I was able to print from word; and preview, but not from photoshop-when I contacted Epson they suggested that I contact photoshop b/c it seemed to be an app issue-any ideas?
