Don't always see Bounding Values

Hi,

In older versions of Illustrator if you selected a few objects you would get a bounding box and the values would be displayed at the top (in the tool bar?).  In CC we see the values on an irregular basis.  If we have 1 object selected we usually see the values.  But grab a few objects (all vector) and the values (and boxes that contained the values) disappear.

Any way to have these appear all of the time?
